    45 is the new 60.

It seems that when an actor hit his 60s, he was immediately placed in bad-ass, retribution roles.

    Think Liam Neeson, Denzel Washington.

Now it seems to be the women's turn, with Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron, et al.

    And Jennifer Garner.

Shortly, I'm certain that we'll be seeing the likes of Chloe Moretz, Ellen Page and Millie Bobby Brown, donning the heavy gear, and taking on bad guys. All before they reach 35.

Peppermint gets the job done, and it's a fun ride, with a few surprises along the way. And Jennifer Garner works as the avenging angel. Best not to mess with her.

Universal's Blu-ray is a quality affair, based on a DI, and with audio pumped through at DTS-HD MA 7.1

Sadly the ladies don't fair as well with this kind of thing. This one has an 11% RT score. Ouch! General public didn't buy into it either $46 million WORLD WIDE.

I liked it. Thought Garner did fine. Hard not to think of it as "Alias: The Next Thing"
