    I’m just so happy that “Alice”, “Perfect Strangers”, & “Step by Step” are getting released in a timely manner.

    Now, I wish Warner Archive would get to work on “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper”.

    I don't think they are doing it to save money on discs. The reason for DVD-R's Is to avoid mass amount of unsold pressed discs since they usually need to make a large run. I think its been well established that Warner Archive uses high quality media over the past 10 years. Very few complaints about failure plus since they will replace failed discs purchased from them anytime it would make no sense to use cheaper media and burning standards which would increase the number of replacements. I haven't bought that many DVD-R from MGM or Sony so I'm not sure their standards are as high but we can buy from WAC as risk free as any disc made.
